U.S. SEC Extends Its Decision On SkyBridge Capital Filed BTC ETF Till 25th Aug.

The United States SEC [Securities and Exchange Commission] has extended its review of SkyBridge Capital’s application for a Bitcoin [BTC] ETF [Exchange-traded Fund], a filing by the U.S. regulatory authority reveals.

Anthony Scarammuci’s SkyBridge Capital submitted an app earlier on 6th May to list and trade shares of the primary Trust SkyBridge Bitcoin ETF Trust.

The SEC has extended its initial 45-day review period to 25th Aug.

The agency has received public discussion of the application.

The United States regulators are extremely reticent to approve such investment vehicles, that might provide retail investors with access to the bitcoin market without having to have bitcoin itself. ETFs are a staple of several retirement portfolios.
