U.S Department of Justice Reveals A Fraud Case Against ‘Eastern Metal Securities’ [EMS].

In line with a recent official ‘press release‘ published, the U.S. DoJ [Department of Justice] has revealed a fraud case filed against Swedish based citizen ‘Roger Nils-Jonas Karlsson’ & his associated firm namely ‘Eastern Metal Securities’ [EMS].

As per the DoJ, Karlsson and EMS are charged with operating securities fraud, wire fraud and laundering. Moreover, Karlsson allegedly influenced investors to buy his products employing ‘digital currencies‘, like Bitcoin’s [BTC].

In line with the case filed, the EMS official web-site was registered to a made-up person, and offered shares of “Pre Funded Reversed Pension Plan” of that investors might allegedly purchased shares at $98 USD per piece. Karlsson ‘allegedly‘ assured a fraud payout of 1.15kg in gold [over $45,000 USD as of 2nd January, 2019] per securities share.

However, an investigation conducted by the IRS Criminal Investigation unit reportedly stated that Karlsson didn’t provably have the capital to back his assured payouts. However, he did seem to have invested all his money received in Thailand-based real estate.

Karlsson has supposedly been running two Fraud websites namely ‘EMS’ and ‘HCI25’, to conduct his scam investment scheme without any payouts. He allegedly succeeded in accumulating over $11 Mln from over 3,570 investors via these scams, and has been operating since 2006.

According to the report, Karlsson was also arrested in Thailand earlier on 18th June, and the U.S. is requesting extradition to undertake the supposed scammer within the Northern District of California.

Also earlier this month, the U.S. CFTC [Commodity Futures Trading Commission] ‘filed‘ a case against Control Finance Ltd, a now-defunct company from based in U.K. that allegedly accumulated nearly $150 Mln’s via its bitcoin related fraud scheme.
