In line with a recent tweet by ‘Crypto Authority’, the Tron office situated in Beijing was surrounded by police as the crowd gathered to protest against a Chinese ponzi scheme that went under a Tron-like name.
‘Videos‘ with crowd surrounding by police officers within the Tron’s office have spread over Twitter, with people apparently expressing outrage at a native cryptocurrency ‘scam‘ that ‘reportedly‘ led to $30 Mln worth of losses and even one suicide.
As within the available ‘videos‘, people are apparently considering Tron to be the scamming entity, with the gathered people reportedly yelling “Tron is a scam.”
Chief executive officer of Tron named ‘Justin Sun’ commented on the news ‘calling‘ out headlines claiming that Tron’s office was raided by police as “fake news.”
“Tronfoundation and BitTorrent is fine. Everything is okay. We are preparing for BitTorrentSpeed launch today. Stop spreading fake news and videos.”
Earlier also, Sun ‘warned‘ investors against scam schemes using the names of Tron and Tron-owned BitTorrent.
“As a renowned blockchain protocol, there are Ponzi schemes using TRON, BitTorrent or uTorrent names like “MMM bitcoin, Ethereum pyramid and EOS schemes,” wrote Sun on 5th July “We will never ask you to send money.”
Tron’s CEO’s response has followed ‘reports‘ on the alleged ‘cryptocurrency‘ scam scheme referred to as “Wave Field Super Community,” that was related to Tron by native investors, since in China, Tron is reportedly known by the name “Wave Field.”
According to a recent report by ‘Nuclear Finance’, “Wave Field Super Community” was launched earlier in Jan. 2019, claiming to by a “super representative” of Tron. Whereas Investors claim to have asked Tron to clarify on the link between the entities, Sun has reportedly not commented on the issue since Jan., the report added.
Based on that, angry people surrounded the Tron’s office to express resentment about the company’s silence over the scam entity operating beneath the same name.
Mati Greenspan, Senior analyst at social trading marketplace named ‘eToro’, added that the police in the Tron’s office came to guard the team from angry investors. Greenspan tweeted:
“Several of misinformation is floating around, thus to clarify. The office wasn’t raided by the cops. Tron was the one who called the police to guard them from upset investors that Tron scammed them.”
Some on-line commentators while in the meantime ‘quipped‘ at Tron’s name of announcing collaborations, considering the case as a new partnership between Tron and the native police.
