The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency’s official Twitter account has tweeted a message in favor of the BitMart exchange, offering assistance to the beleaguered trading site.
On Saturday, BitMart was stolen of roughly $200 million in what looks to be one of the worst hacking operations in recent memory. On Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, the attacker stole almost 900 billion Shiba Inu coins as well as over 20 additional tokens.
The BitMart exchange is now performing a security audit, and withdrawals are currently halted. Huobi, a major cryptocurrency exchange, promised to assist with the freezing of transactions linked to the event.
Scam Warning From Shiba Inu
The ShibaSwap decentralized exchange team will continue to investigate possible security issues, advising the community to remain cautious. Last month, the official Twitter account issued a fraud notice to the community over the growth of online shams aiming to exploit meme currency holders. It presented many tactics that scammers employ to separate unwary victims from their money in a short video clip.
