LiveCoin Exchange Terminates Its Operations After Last Month’s Hack.

Recently today on Saturday, Livecoin exchange has announced that it is soon to terminate its operations after an earlier claimed attack on the platform last month.

The Russia-based exchange added within its official website notice on an alternate domain that it had made a “hard decision to shut the business” and will be refunding any remaining funds to users.

However, no amount for losses arising from the breach was disclosed. The firm added: “Our service and team bear hard losses along with our clients.”

Livecoin added that it’ll accept claims for refunds till 17th March, and after which no new requests will be accepted.

Users require to email the exchange and pass verification procedures before they will be awarded refunds, the post added.

Earlier in the month of December, Livecoin claimed to have suffered what it called a “carefully planned attack within which it actually “lost control” of its servers, backend as well as nodes.
