Interactive Brokers Announces Cryptocurrency Trading For Their Customers.

According to a news release dated October 18, brokerage firm Interactive Brokers has announced that registered financial advisers from the United States will now be able to use the platform to sell cryptocurrencies on behalf of their customers.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are among the digital assets that are available.

After working with a blockchain infrastructure startup called Paxos, one of the top online trading companies, competing with the likes of Fidelity and TD Ameritrade, Interactive Brokers has introduced bitcoin trading capability.

Steve Sanders, the company’s senior vice president of marketing and product development, admitted that cryptocurrencies are becoming increasingly important in various portfolios:

It’s becoming more normal to allocate a modest percentage of assets to digital currency as part of a broad portfolio, and advisers may want to advocate cryptocurrencies to their customers.

According to a June survey, 49% of financial advisers have received requests from clients interested in investing in cryptocurrencies.

Only 14% of them, on the other hand, advocate that customers divide their portfolios with the use of digital assets.
