Cardano Launches Converter Testnet For Its New Project.

Singularity NET’s AGIX token holders can now abandon Ethereum in favor of the Cardano blockchain. Input-Output announced recently on December 7 that their AGIX ERC20 converter is now available in testnet mode. ERC20 tokens may be swapped and traded for EMURGO’s Yoroi or Input Output’s Daedalus. SingularityNET is a blockchain-powered artificial intelligence marketplace that aims to enable the frictionless monetization of a wide range of AI services. Its utility token, AGI, was first issued on the Ethereum network under the AGI ticker. It was upgraded to Cardano-compatible AGIX in May.

SingularityNET is led by AI pioneer Ben Goertzel, who is best known for his work on the humanoid robot Sophia while serving as head scientist at Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics. The importance of this port for Singularity NET and the entire blockchain and AI ecosystems cannot be overstated, according to Goertzel: it will generate not just a far quicker and much more cost-effective AI network, but also a significantly superior foundation for adding innovative functions to SingularityNET and moving toward realising our vision of decentralised AGI.

Singularity NET and Cardano unveiled their collaboration in September of last year. The AI project, on the other hand, is not abandoning Ethereum entirely: users will be able to choose their favourite platform. The Cardano blockchain was linked into Grace, the SingularityNET humanoid robot nurse that promises to revolutionize elderly care, in September.
