Solana, recently very popular and rose high as a low-cost alternative to Ethereum, experienced a sudden price drop of around 15% on Tuesday night when 400,000 transactions per second attacked and disrupted the network.
Solana community Engineers worked to restart service to the cryptosystem and trading resumed in the early hours. The crypto is down 2.9% for the day at $162 USD but has successfully retrieved from the last night’s low of approx. $144 USD.
According to reports, Ethereum was also targeted but the attack was unsuccessful.
Ethereum also experienced a separate network disruption on Tuesday as Arbitrum One which is a layer-two network working to help the main Ethereum blockchain to scale and is in beta, went into a code-based issue.
Ethereum [ETH] was up around 4% on Wednesday at $3,514 USD.
Cardano’s ADA price continues to consolidate the ‘hard-fork event enabling the use of smart contracts on the blockchain system. For the past 24 hours, ADA is up 6.40% at $2.56 USD.
